My Daytrip to Jiufen (九份)

Post 42 of 94

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. So the other day after hiking Elephant Mountain, I decided to soldier on and make my way to Jiufen (九份). It’s a traditional village outside of Taipei that’s rather famous for its yummy treats and spectacular mountain scenery.

I walked around the town the whole afternoon and ate way more than I should of. I think my favorites were the Peanut and Taro Ice Cream Burrito thing I tried and the YuYuan.

YuYuan are these chewy glutinous balls that taste slightly of taro, green tea and sweet potato.
