Remember when I wrote a post distraught about the dilapidation of our oceans a couple of weeks ago? Well, I’m organizing a charity show to translate my concern into positive actions! Yay! I’m gathering together a group of Chicago artists to perform a mixture of improv, sketch, guitar solos and maybe even stand-up all for a good cause: to raise awareness and save the ocean! That includes my troupe Once Again, Zelda!

We’re not charging admission and instead asking for donations for The Ocean Foundation to go to their Ocean Leadership Fund. Through grantmaking, they recently provided a grant to Alaska SeaLife Center to produce a documentary on marine debris in Alaska with National Geographic. The Ocean Foundation also partners with and fund groups doing beach cleanups, education campaigns in schools, research and documentaries. So, in short, they’re awesome.
